The Rivulis line of air valves includes three types of valves to protect and improve the efficiency of irrigation systems. The three valve types are the Air & Vacuum Release Valve, Continuous Air Valve, and the Combination Air Valve.

Air enters irrigation system in a variety of ways, and must be properly managed by air vacuum release valves to assure proper system operation. Each time the irrigation system is turned on the air in the distribution pipes must be allowed  to exhaust quickly to avoid water hammer. When the system is turned off, air must be allowed to re-enter the pipes in a controlled manner to avoid pipe collapse, and suction through the emission devices.

The Continuous Air Valve releases air that can accumulate at high points in the distribution system, and create  unwanted pressure loss or water hammer. The Continuous Air Valve allows these air pockets to vent while the system is operating. And the Rivulis Combination Air Valve performs the functions of both the Air Vacuum Release and the Continuous Air Valve.

Rivulis Air & Vacuum Release Valve

The Rivulis Air & Vacuum Release Valves are designed to reduce air related problems when the system starts and when it is shut down. The Air & Vacuum Release valves discharges  air during the system start up and introduces air during the shut down to prevent tubes from collapsing. Additionally, Rivulis Air & Vacuum valves are designed to function or seal at low pressure.

Rivulis Continuous Air Valve

The Rivulis Continuous Air Valve releases air during system operation, helping to reduce head loss and decreased flow from trapped air in the water. In addition, removing trapped air from a pipeline will help to minimize issues such as water hammer. The Continuous Air Valve can be used in wide range of  pressure, from 0,10 to 10 bar.

Materials: Corrosion resistant, UV Protection Thread Type: BSP

Typical Locations: Every 150-250 meters of delivery line and on chemigation valves.

Operating Guidelines Minimum pressure: 0,10 bar Maximum pressure: 10 bar

Rivulis Combination Air Valve

The Rivulis Combination Air Valves are the most versatile provid- ing dual functionality in one product. With the Combination Air Valve, you get the air & vacuum release on system start up and shut down and continuous air release during system operation.
