The wedge is full y vulcani zed wi th EPDM, an d vulcanization is in spe cted for Com pressio n Se t according to EN 681-1 and Bon din g Testin g. In o rd er to prov ide lower torque values, t h e wedge is avai lab le with wedge guides u pon request. Wedge nut provides  t h e connection of the st em to th e wedge, enablin g these two crucial it ems t o wo rk in harmony.

DVD Gate Valves have a revolving, non-rising, rolled, mono-block stem which is tra nsmitting the handwheel rotation to inside the bonnet nut and is connected to the wedge by means of the wedge nut. Bonnet nut is t hreaded to the bon against axia l movement. Wedge is guided in the body in a precast groove and provides undist urbed water flow when wedge is fully vulcanized by rubbe r to have drip tight sealing when the valve is closed.
